Buzludzha Monument Ridge

The Buzludzha Monument stands on a grassy ridge of the Balkan Mountains, its abandoned concrete form overlooking the Rose Valley and Thracian Plain. Built in the late socialist period, the saucer‑like hall and tower are now closed but dominate the skyline. Gentle alpine meadows and beech woods around the summit contrast sharply with the monument’s scale.
