Zlatograd

Above it, the Orlovo Oko (“Eagle’s Eye”) metal platform cantilevers over a cliff, giving broad views across the Western Rhodopes. Access to the platform is by rough 4x4 track or a steep hike from Yagodina.

Bachkovo Monastery
Bachkovo Monastery is Bulgaria’s second-largest Orthodox monastery, set in a narrow valley under steep slopes of the northern Rhodopes. Its courtyards, frescoed churches, and refectory illustrate centuries of religious and artistic history. A short hill path behind the complex leads to chapels and viewpoints away from the main crowds.
