Etar is a reconstructed revival‑era craftsmen’s quarter built along a steep ravine south of Gabrovo, its water‑powered workshops strung beside a stone channel. Traditional houses host woodcarvers, coppersmiths and textile looms, showing how Balkan towns once functioned.
